EUNETIPS Workshop
The COVID-19 pandemic made it painfully clear that infections and pathogens recognize neither nations nor borders. The EUNETIPS network ("European network to promote infection prevention for patient safety") has been established more than 10 years ago and aims serving a platform for activities in the field of infection prevention and control on the pan-European level, foster interdisciplinary exchange among experts and ultimately improving patient safety.
To develop further exchange and the network's activities, innovative approaches, in-depth discussions, and closer collaboration among partner organizations/countries are needed. With the workshop "Young IPC professionals take action" during the 17th Congress for General and Hospital Hygiene (DGKH), in Bonn (Germany), we aim at laying the foundation for this development. In addition to networking and generating new ideas, the workshop will focus on professional exchange on topics such as training/education in infection prevention and control, improving skills of IPC experts, pandemic preparedness, and identifying commonalities and differences in the European context.

Then sign up for our workshop on May 14, 2024, from 09:00 to 12:30 at the 17th Congress for General and Hospital Hygiene of the "German Society for Hospital Hygiene (DGKH)" in Bonn (Germany). The number of participants is limited.
Nicht zuletzt die Corona-Pandemie hat gezeigt, dass Infektionen keine Nationen und Grenzen kennen. Das EUNETIPS-Netzwerk (European network to promote infection prevention for patient safety) arbeitet seit mehr als 10 Jahren an europaweiten Aktivitäten zur Infektionsprävention und bildet eine Plattform für den interprofessionellen Austausch von Expertinnen und Experten aus den Bereichen der Infektionsprävention und -kontrolle mit dem Ziel, die Patientensicherheit zu verbessern.
Um diesen Austausch und die Aktivitäten des Netzwerkes weiterzuentwickeln, braucht es innovative Ideen und eine engere Vernetzung der Partnerorganisationen/-länder. Mit dem Workshop „Young IPC professionals take action“ während des 17. Kongresses für Allgemeine und Krankenhaus-Hygiene (DGKH) wollen wir einen Grundstein für diese Entwicklung legen. Neben Vernetzung und Entwicklung neuer Ideen kommt auch der fachliche Austausch zu Themen wie Schulungen / Lehre in der Infektionsprävention, Ausbildung von Hygienefachpersonal, pandemic preparedness sowie Gemeinsamkeiten & Unterschiede im europäischen Vergleich nicht zu kurz.
